Abstract: Image mining is a nontrivial process to discover valid, novel, potentially useful, and ultimately understandable knowledge from large image sets or image databases. Image mining is not only a branch of data mining and knowledge discovery, but also an interdisciplinary research area which includes digital image processing, image understanding, database, artificial intelligence and so on. Image mining deals with the extraction of implicit knowledge, image data relationship, or other patterns not explicitly stored in the image databases. The main obstacle to rapid progress in image mining research is the lack of understanding of the research issues involved in image mining.. Presently, tools for mining images are few and require human intervention. Feature selection and extraction is the pre-processing step of Image Mining. In the process of image mining concept analysis is an important technique. In this paper framework of image mining based on concept lattice and cloud model theory is proposed. The methods of image mining from image texture features are introduced here, which include the following basic steps: firstly pre-process images secondly use cloud model to extract concepts, lastly use concept lattice to extract a series of image knowledge.
