Abstract:
Distributed Denial of Service attack is a dangerous and potentially fatal attack against organizations. Although methods are in place to prevent or dodge a DDOS attack, there is a critical need to completely eliminate the threat. Current methods are mostly defensive and rely on shutting down the server or filtering and shaping traffic.
There is a need to relieve the victim servers to prevent disruption of services and also to establish a feasible and economical way to counter attack such threats.
Also, it is preferable that the server does not suffer significant downtime during the propagation of a DDoS attack.
