Abstract :This application mainly deals management of the network which can be achieved through monitoring and conferencing within the LAN.
The Administrator has all the privileges on his desktop using which he can monitor and control the activities of the client.
LAN Monitoring which is a kind of remote monitoring system. In this system we make use of mobile phone to control and monitor our LAN. This system gives the brief idea how the administrator gets the information about the LAN when he/she is away from the office. The main purpose of this system is instead of depending on third party information the administrator can himself get the information by just using the mobile phone.
In this system the cell phone is used to send the command messages to monitor and control the LAN.
The administrator by using his phone can send message to selected clients or broadcast it. Also he can get the processes running on the clients on his phone and can also shutdown, restart, logoff etc. the client PC using his mobile from a remote location.
For security purpose, administrative message can be passed from server to the client and also take appropriate action if, he/she does any undesirable work.
The Project is also developed to ease communication among the organization employees and within the LAN, by providing the facility of conferencing(Chatting within the LAN rather than depending on Internet).
We can further extend that the same GUI that provide the interLAN communication should have a switch mode, that can enable the users to switch to the Internet for global communication.
This will enable the user to use the LAN based communication when he/she wants to communicate with his/her in-house colleague when at workplace and also seek help from off-shore counterparts when needed.
